Host of My Marketing Perspective
When I first started running Meta ads, I believed what most people casually say:
“It’s all about the creative… it’s all about the targeting.”
And while those things matter — here’s what nobody told me:
Meta ads are push marketing.
They’re not built for people who are searching.
They’re built to interrupt.
That one misunderstanding cost me money, time, and worse — it cost me the right perspective.
🚫 The Lie We’re Told
The biggest lie is this:
“If you run good ads, people will come.”
But that only works if people were already looking. That’s pull marketing — like Google Search, where people type in what they want and find you.
Meta? Not that.
Meta is where people are scrolling — not searching.
They’re watching memes, reels, vacation photos.
They’re not waiting for you.
You’re showing up uninvited — hoping to earn a second of attention.
🔁 My Mistake: Treating Meta Like Pull
When I began, I crafted my real estate campaigns like I was answering a search query.
- “Looking for a 2BHK near Whitefield?”
- “Best investment plots in Bangalore.”
Great for Google. Useless on Meta.
Why?
Because nobody’s scrolling Instagram thinking about investment plots.
They’re probably thinking about coffee, friends, or the next meme.
And here I was — showing up like a sales guy at a party.
🎯 The Shift: Thinking Like Push
Once I understood this, I started treating Meta differently:
✅ I built for interruption.
Bold hooks. Big text. Scroll-stoppers.
✅ I simplified the message.
No over-explaining. Just one clear point per ad.
✅ I stopped expecting instant action.
People don’t buy real estate on impulse. They need to be nudged, not chased.
📈 The Impact
This perspective shift didn’t just improve results.
It changed how I think about every campaign.
I stopped judging ads by how “clever” they were… and started judging them by how well they grabbed attention in 1 second.
And that’s what I want to bring through this podcast:
Real shifts from real experience — not just recycled tips.
